OST was great about getting the replacement to me though. I have no idea how the wrong striker was installed but it was. The striker (firing pin) was almost 1/4" to long. I'm sorry to say that was not the case with my TSD package. It can't be that difficult to make a slide can it? I have had bad luck with Caspian as well, which is why I moved to Lone Wolf. My opinion is just stick to the original. I was using all Glock OEM parts to complete the build.
The slide looked warped and as I ran it on the frame would not move true like a Glock slide. The rails were not cut true.or something happened after cutting. I also compared that liner to a few extras I had just to make sure it wasn't a screwball one that was too long for some reason - it was the correct length.ģ). I looked inside with the bore light and you can see the channel liner flush with the back of the striker channel cavity. I tried lightly tapping the end of the striker assembly as it was sitting on the channel liner thinking maybe it was just sticking on the excess finish but to no avail. This means the channel liner doesn't sit flush which also means the striker assembly won't sit flush, nor move forward true.
After wiping the excess off with a little oil and a paper towel I began to notice the next problem - the finish was now wiping right off the slide with my fingertips.Ģ - The hole for the striker assembly channel liner was machined 1/4" too shallow, and off center. If I had to guess it seems as if they took it out of the tank, let it air dry then put it in a plastic bag. Spots all over the slide were missed and are rusted. Well the slide and barrel came today and they are being immediately returned. I also requested the slide get a blue oxide flat black finish. I ordered a Slide and matching barrel from Lone Wolf. I was doing a Glock project and wanted to try Lone Wolf barrels and slides. This of course means extra work for them, but hey.mine was perfect as well. I don't doubt the one you got from OST was perfect because they went over it to make sure it was perfect.
